looking for:
Independent Accountant
Location: Warsaw
Responsibilities
- Verifying and booking received documents.
- Reconciling settlements and main ledger account balances with analytical records.
- Settling investment processes and maintaining a register of fixed assets.
- Confirming and reconciling balances with contractors.
- Closing financial periods in accordance with internal group requirements.
- Preparing or actively participating in the preparation of financial statements for project companies.
- Handling tax settlements (VAT, CIT, PCC, WHT), including preparing tax declarations.
- Preparing documentation related to settlements within the Capital Group.
- Updating registration documents.
- Reporting to the Central Statistical Office (GUS) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP).
- Collaboration during tax audits.
- Collaboration during financial statement audits.
- Supporting other employees in the finance and accounting department as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position involving full accounting responsibilities.
- Higher education (preferably in accounting and finance).
- Practical knowledge of Polish tax laws and accounting principles.
- Good command of the English language enabling effective communication.
- Commitment, independence, and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Accuracy, thoroughness, and analytical skills.
- Communicativeness and ability to work in a team.
