looking for:
BESS Technical Specialist / BESS Engineer (O&M)
Location: Warsaw
Responsibilities
- Provide technical supervision of BESS projects during the operational phase, including batteries, PCS, EMS/SCADA, and auxiliary systems.
- Manage relationships with LTSA/OEM providers, including maintenance, inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators such as availability, RTE, SoH, degradation, capacity retention, and response times.
- Verify battery operation profiles considering durability, warranty compliance, and economic optimization.
- Enforce LTSA/BSA contractual obligations, including performance guarantees, SLAs, warranty claims, and liquidated damages.
- Analyze EMS/SCADA events and alarms, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Manage technical interfaces between BESS projects, grid operators, balancing market aggregators, and internal trading/dispatch teams.
- Ensure compliance with grid codes and operator requirements.
- Participate in reperformance tests and post-maintenance verification.
- Identify and mitigate technical and contractual risks.
- Report project technical status to management, lenders, and stakeholders.
- Support insurance and claims management processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
- Experience in the energy or industrial sector, preferably in BESS, power electronics, or utility-scale asset operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of BESS technologies, including batteries, PCS, EMS, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
- Experience working with LTSA/OEM suppliers and O&M teams.
- Ability to interpret and enforce technology agreements.
- Knowledge of BESS KPI monitoring and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with grid codes and standards.
- Utility-scale BESS experience is an advantage.
- English at minimum B2/C1 level.
